Lets not forget that the Australians censor anything they deem inappropriate, as do the Germans, the French want to ban religious items such as the Burka, and Switzerland has banned the construction of new minarettes. Canada is looking into cutting funding for their system, because their universal health care is bankrupting their system, and when I read about skepticism for global warming, its usually the UK Telegraph.
And as Kasz has pointed out, politics is a little bit larger than if someone simply supports health care or global warming. Political parties vary from country to country. For example, the UK's BNP party is more authoritarian than any US political party, or politician.
Oh, in other news, I had no idea that the Free Democratic Party of Germany picked up 14.9% of the votes in 2009 - a new record for one of the most libertarian parties in the world. Great for them!
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
