For a gaming standpoint definitely or to those that want the best bang for their buck.
Not so much for those that don't play games and for some home-theater enthusiast.
When the 3D firmware update comes out, Sony can then advertise the PS3 as the cheapest 3D blu-ray player and that will make another selling point.
