They don't want a price drop, because there are a lot of good games coming out this next 3 months, but they don't have anything really good right now, so they are making offers to keep the supplies from Nintendo and when the games start to arrive they will increase again.
Maybe Nintendo will make a official price reduction in september to counter the release of Natal and Move, but its not a sure thing.
