^Nope, Nintendo games are better because of the intermingling between their hardware and software sides, Nintendo abandoning hardware will only occur when they leave the Video game market for something else. You may think Nintendo's hardware is crappy, but as we've seen, in spite of the repeated claims of its doom, Nintendo is in a better position for long term survival than Sony, MS and even Apple, and part of that is because of how well they make their hardware for what the market actually wants, not what a minority thinks it needs.
