in this case, public opinion showed up, and there is nothing a congressman hates more, then to look like all that's wrong with the world on TV.

Wrong with the world was an expression. I meant "wrong with Washington".

No one around April 15th wants to be on TV telling a company why they need to pay a billion in taxes. Esp when on top of that, jobs are being lost at a higher then expected rate.
