Somewhat. Natal seems to be tracking more things than Move. Move has up to 4 glowing orbs that it runs calculations on the RGB image to determine depth and position. And it has data determining orientation and such via the hardware on the controllers. Natal is running calculations on a depth map to determine the position of up to two(2 is all that has currently been confirmed) entire skeletel systems(22 points each I think was the last number). Seems a little more intensive than the other. They both perform facial and vocal recognitions I believe. |
Dont get me wrong. Of course they're nothing alike. Natal is far more complex.
But lag is still lag. I'm just trying to evaluate the experience for what it is, pros and cons. I am very bothered by lag in general. 50ms is okay, but over 75-100 ms is too irritating in my opinion, especially if it's something that mirrors your own movements and you get to witness them on the screen directly in front of you. In a shooter even 100ms latency is okay because you don't directly see the lag unless you stand still and aim shots at a specific object in front of you.
