well, it is the only game that challenges MK in this genre (sega racing game really wasnt all that). Plus, it was asked in the video. 

I mean it as a general statement. Sure, they may be similar games in some ways, but they don't need to be competitors just because of that. 

inveitable comparsion to another Kart series (MK), it's unavoidable. much like comparison of any FPS to Halo or MW, any JRPG to FF, any sandbox game to GTA, any platform to Mario.
