It's not so much that he's a clown. He knows what he's doing. And what he is doing is being paid under the table by someone with conflicting interests with Nintendo, so he's trying to bring Nintendo down in any way he can, first and foremost by trying to get everyone to believe that Nintendo will release a Wii HD and get everyone to stop investing in the current Wii system. He obviously has an agenda, no one could be that stupid, especially someone who is supposed to make a JOB out of analyzing the games industry.
