^ Thanks for your honest take on it. I still think that while convergence is important (ps2, iphone, even dsi), devices like the Wii show that convergence isn't necessarily needed, at least not in the sense I was describing. One may argue that Nintendo is converging in a different way, such as combining sports and video games in an intuitive way. Price tag is something I didn't really get into buy you're completely right. Social acceptance is part of it as well.

Only some ps1 games supported that AFAIK. You could eject the game disc once in game and listen to your music.
