The Lambent are not really new...in Gears 2 when you travel beneath Jacinto to fight the queen you see the beginings of the War between the Locust and the Lambent, and Lambent Wretches were in Gears 1 (the exploding, glowing wretches). IIRC the Lambent are just locust who have been exposed to too much juice (I forget the term they use for the ooze beneath the ground). At the end of Gears 2 though, your Brumack goes lambent and you destroy him, to act like a bomb. On topic, new shotgun, and female skins for Multiplayer have me pumped. BUT what would really have me pumped is a commitment from Epic to fixing the multiplayer. I love me some Execution, but I would love it even more without the frustration! |
I thought Lambent rung a bell.... but I thought they are new monsters, here is the official statement:

I can't remember if the lambent locust fought against the normal locust in the last one...
