Number of failures after 1st year of ownership that people had to pay for:
360: 0% (prolly around 15-20% actually for people who had the DVD drive die and they didn't want to lie and say its RROD) PS3: 100% Wii: 100%
Number of failures after 2st year of ownership that people had to pay for:
360: 0% PS3: 100% Wii: 100% |
what ?

I only know 1 system that has 3 year of warranty for 2 issues which cause 70% of its failures.

But those two issues affect 40% of its buyers. That's no joke.

Agreed. Microsoft screwed up when making hardware (ATI screwed up as well)...but they made up for it the best they could.
And I am quite happy with what they did to fix their screwed up to be honest. I had a bunch of PS2s fail on me last gen and I even replaced the DVD drive myself on some.
But with the 360, I had a DVD drive fail on me in 2007, and I got it replaced for free...almost 2 years after I bought it.
I am on my 3rd and 4th 360s ( I own 2)...and I paid for 2....not counting the modded, banned, busted 360 I bought off a freind for 50 bucks which died in 3 months.

How did ATI screw up? They just supply the chip. It's Microsofts job to ensure that it is cooled appropriately.
