Not Sony's. From what I can tell, the only one that really has is Killzone 2, which was insanely hyped/pushed this gen compared to KZ1. Pretty much every other Sony franchise (Ratchet & Clank, Hot Shots Golf, Siren, Singstar, BUZZ, Boku no Natsuyasumi, etc) has taken an appreciable tumble. GOW3 might beat out it's predecessors too, but again it's prominence has been greatly increased this gen compared to last. I don't the same will really be true for GT5.

Siren? How would you know, we don't have original Siren's numbers.
And if we want to get REAL technical, Blood Curse is already higher than Siren 2.

If you want to get technical, you should really compare like with like (ie: Siren 1 to Siren 3), though there are some problems there. My real point is though that Sony franchises aren't hitting the same highs on PS3 they were on PS2. Franchises just aren't surpassing what they were on PS2, that significant userbase reduction does have an impact.
I have Famitsu figures for every Siren if you're curious... they're probably the best thing to go on really...
- [PS2] Siren (SCEI) 121,114
- [PS2] Siren (PS2 the BEST) (SCEI) 43,184
- [PS2] Siren 2 (SCEI) 85,457
- [PS3] Siren: New Translation (SCEI) 66,269

No, not all franchises are hitting the same highs as PS2, I agree. So far though, some of the most important ones have been: (Killzone 2 is already higher than it's predecessor, God of War III will most likely clear both predecessors - it's already nearly halfway to God of War 1), which just leaves Gran Turismo 5.

In both cases though, you find the franchises prominence has been fast tracked and greatly increased this generation. That's something I just don't see happening for GT5, it'll be big but not a bigger deal than GT3 comparatively was (unlike KZ2 vs KZ1 or GOW3 vs GOW1/2).
Plus there's been definite genre fatigue for sim racers in America, and in Japan pretty much almost all PS3 games have seen significant declines from what they were doing on PS2 (with a few exceptions like Yakuza or Atelier). I wpould say GT5's basically guaranteed to do less than GT3 (or GT4 even) in both markets, which leaves any chance of recovery entirely on Europe's shoulders. :/
