At what point in your dream world is Sony making enough money to guarantee the PS3 will be around for 10 years. This generation is vastly different to the previous two and Sony have made zero profit this generation from the PS3. It doesn't matter how long the Wii lasts, it's made Nintendo a shed load of money already and their next console will be pure profit too.
