| aragod said: The only thing where Bayonetta might have upper hand over GoW is the fluidity of combat, but that's thanks to different playstyle. Bayonetta is basically DMC with female heroin, which sadly lost all the appeal that the real DMC had since everything in Bayonetta apart from the actual gameplay is bland and boring. Animation per se, meaning animation of characters... GoW > miles over > Bayonetta. If you mean fluidity of combat, than yes, Bayonetta is more fluid, but that has nothint to do with animation. Bayonetta is also "faster" by deafult and the combat system is different. It's OK to prefer Bayonetta's style over GoW3, but it's wrong to judge the quality of the game from one single comparasing when the other game is clearly better in every other aspect, and only because you like one of the playstyles better than the other. That's not quality difference, that's playstyle preference. In the end, God of War is clearly a better and more polished game. Bayonetta's playstyle just suits you more, but it's not a better game. |
You spoke well and I totally agree with your words !
Yes, this comparaison isn't a real one, choose to compare the gameplay OR the global quality of the titles. The gameplay feeling is totally subjective, but nobody can really say that Bayonetta is a superior BTA than GoW3. In pure technicals terms, there is a big gulf between there two, Gow3 is the masterpiece of what this generation and specially the PS3 can deliver has graphics, animations, sounds etc...
In terms of gameplay, there is two school, some prefer fighting and fighting, other do rather fighting, puzzle and plateform. In that case, we can easy they that Gow 3 is clearly more varied. In an other view, Bayonetta doesn't offer really more than DMC, the game mecanics are totally identic and we cannot see any real improvement on this point. Don't even think about saying that the witch time is new, just DMC 1 on PS2 already offer this kind of tricks with a special item... -_-'
I'm a real BTA fan and loves both bayonetta and Gow3 at the same level. I have more hour played and Bayo than Gow3 only because the trophy are more difficult to unlock. Fan of Ruy Hayabusa and Dante from DMC (note inferno ;p) too. And to be totally objective, I say that Gow 3 surpass Bayonetta in all points, only the gameplay feeling can "put" a divergeance.
