Well think of it this way... say you have two eyewitnesses to the crime... and one of them says "Man that guy had a unicorn on his polo" which the other eyewitness didn't see. He is then going to remember seeing a unicorn on said guys polo even if said unicorn was never there. This can be problematic since... maybe that guy didn't see a unicorn and he just thought he did. Maybe the other guy saw a bear, and it really was a bear. Etc.
