I am fairly certain Uncharted 2 did not do this... well it certainly did not do background loading, as all the cut scenes were skip-able....

This is good, but loading behind cut scenes can be annoying if before fights or something.

I only remember U2 being more of use from it's engine than the first (or whatever :P).

That's a good point but I don't think that's the case so far.  Since it's using the TV show type cutscenes (and normal ones I'd guess) I don't see any sort of fights happening right after the cutscene stops.  We've seen him normally start out in a log cabin or other various areas and then soon after grabbing a manuscript page everything begins to go wrong.

Well yes I hope that it doesn't interfere with gameplay, because having to repeat progress is really annoying for me, and if that "progress" is watching a cut-scene, that can be one of the few ways to make me put down a game. (the best is have ridiculously long periods with save points or check points {I am looking at you infinite undiscovery!})

I wouldn't worry too much about that, it doesn't seem like that seems to be the case from what's been shown.

I am more worried about how horrifying the game is going to be
