Tecmo is a good example -- they have put Super Swing Golf on the Wii (And it has bombed, I believe), but their main franchises are Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, and neither are particularly well suited to the Wii.

Some companies like Tecmo and Epic (as Eugene mentioned) have crafted a particular image around being "hardcore," with top end graphics, lots of violence, and a very healthy dose of testosterone. Not that the Wii can't have such games, but the PS3/360 are almost exclusively and entirely directed at that market.
