The game isn't bad, but it's definitely not even as good as BF2. Technical issues aside, and there are a TON of them, it needs tons of balancing and tons of new features for it to be anywhere near as good as BF2, and nothing that they can do outside of changing the core game will make it as good as BF1942.
But, it's better than what has been out in the last 5 years so kudos for that? Has the state of shooters really declined so badly that people think new games that are worse than games from 5 years ago are good? I guess it deserves its relative sales, but I'm none too happy with it.
