Depends what you're looking for. If you get a Mac and you're just going to install Windows and use it like you would any normal computer then it's a complete waste of money as you can get a much better piece of hardware.
The advantage of Mac is that the OS is both user-friendly and designed with the hardware in mind. Apple only have a set number of configurations to program for meaning it should run faster and more efficiently than Windows on an equivalent system.
