I hate The Godfather. I'll throw that out there right now. I find a lot of supposedly "great" movies unwatchable. Equally, standards of excellence are only temporary. The Disney movie "Alice in Wonderland" was received to poor critical and financial acclaim when it was released, and it wasn't until the late 60's when it really started to be understood as the classic it is today.
