This guy has a good video of the two side my side.

I have used both now, and I have to say, the iPad is a much better device.

This video was incredibly bias. I could make a video as well showing everything Netbook does better. A few things that come to mind are being able to use multiple programs at once, superior software options, visiting websites with Flash, watching movies and listening to music without codec limitations, etc.

Also, that Netbook was crap. An Acer One can stream YouTube movies much smoother and they are only about $250.

In due time PC manufactures will start developing affordable tablet computers similar in design as the iPad. I'd rather wait for that.

I can not think is a single thing, where I would pick a netbook if every option was available for me. If I wanted to browse the web in front of my TV, or watch a movie on a plane. The best device on the market for those actions, for me anyway, is the iPad. That means for those tasks (and there are more then just those two), because this device exists, I can now do those task better then I could ever before. It knows no equal in those few areas.

Improved tools to improve my lifestyle is always exciting to me. I expect (and hope) android tablets in the future surpass the iPad. How great would that be? :)

Well the point is I can do many of those same things on a Netbook and much more.

I can't argue that the iPad is a fancier toy and may be idle for simple things like watching a movie, reading a e-book, or visiting websites that aren't crippled from lack of Flash support. But the Netbook has far more capabilities, can be used to get work done, and is much cheaper.
