ps2 has sold more than the wii. however, i think what this thread is getting at is wii fans unwaivering faith that the wii WILL outsell the ps2. So instead of asking whether the wii will outsell the ps2 he has changed it the other way around...

Wii's sold better than PS2.  It's already at 50% of it's lifetime sales (and let's face it, PS2 ain't going much farther than it is now) in about a third the time. PS2 has never outsold Wii, looking at any relevant generational metric.  Open wide, I have some science for you. <3
