Yeah, I never understood why there's this collective belief that despite Wii sales tracking well ahead of PS2 sales, the great majority doesn't think Wii sales will eventually pass PS2. As I recall, the majority of gamers didn't think Wii would outsell Xbox 360 either.. for some reason the Wii, as long as it exists, will constantly be underestimated.
Unless Nintendo themselves cuts the lifespan short by releasing another console soon, Wii shouldn't have a problem passing PS2 eventually.
