I was dying left and right with my engineer until I figured out that the combat drone is a game-breaker on bosses - I was having major trouble with the boss on Horizon, as his attacks killed me too quickly. However, the combat drone made him a pushover. Loved the hammerhead - not so much the deepness of the missions, but what it means for ME3. Overall, it has a ton of potential. |
I beat Insanity with the Sentinel class. For the most part Insanity just forces you to be patient. You can't steam roll you enemies like on other difficulties. Horizon was a pain my rare to. Ultimately, what ended up doing was taking cover and hitting the boss with warp as often as possible. The extra shielding of the Sentinel class, combined with having a power for any situation made the class ideal for Insanity IMO. You have Oveload for synthetics and shields, Warp for Barriers and Armor, Throw to stifle YMIR mech after stripping away their shields/armor, and most important tech armor. Once you get past the half way point Insanity doesn't seem to difficult at all.
