i do not think he has missed the point, The very fact that Android handset's and Iphone's #1 used app's from their store's are game's!, the majority of downloads are Game's.
the PSP and DS offer great functionality for game's but Smart phones have taken over the spot of PDA's and it may open it's way to handheld game system's market.
more and more people like the IDEA of only one handheld, yea sure the DS and the PSP are fine product's but as I was pointing out Even Sony is making a Playstation Phone!
Nintendo I doubt will follow suit, but they may not need too but the Iphone and google's own android Handset's are getting game's that may rival even what a dedicated game's devices like the PSP and the DS.
like i said the PDA was taken over by the smartphone, this may have effect on dedicated handheld game machines. like it did to PDA's

Lol, I thought there'd been some surprise announcement of a new PSP Phone like the iPhone or something, haha. I thought it was weird I'd have missed something like that, but I see now.
