Seemed pretty simple to follow to me. The Wii has had some problems with it's game library in the past, but this year changes all that in a big way. It still has some flaws as a system (you going to say the Online stands up to the other consoles?) but not having a wide range of great hardcore games isn't one of them. |
I never thought the Wii had a dry spell. I don't know how many big budget full priced games people need to be happy. I'm definitely not shelling out $50 a week to stay cool. With motion-controlled games, IR-controlled games, balance-controlled games, analog stick-controlled games, 100% backwards compatibility (something neither of the competitors have) with GameCube games, the Virtual Console, and my favorite, WiiWare, I have consistently had too many games to play and never enough time to play them all.
And yeah, there are problems with the Wii. But he talked about those for half his article, and then snuck in a compliment somewhere in the middle. It was really weird. It's like he's embarrassed to like it because he hates it so much.
