He said it WASN'T a big issue.  Only the week of GoW3 release did he say he actually saw significant shortages.

Still, you can't deny that it was hard to find a PS3 even before the week GoW3 released...even Sony announced that there would be shortages. I have hardly seen the 120gb PS3 in stock on amazon.com for the past few months until just recently. And, if you're like me, you would rather buy that than the 250gb (because it's cheaper).

I definitely admit they were not available everywhere.  However, if you just called around or made 2-3 stops you could pretty much find one if you wanted one.  Even GoW3 week all I had to do was make 1 call to Walmart and found a store with 3 in stock.  So I went and bought it
