New IP's don't seem to be doing that well on the PS3. I think MGS4 will sell very well, but if PS3's sales go back to pre holiday 2007 level and 3rd party sales don't pickup really soon I think the 360's #'s might become unreachable. The 360 seems pretty stable in the US, especially in the software dept. I think Sony is going to have to trounce the 360 in hardware sales in order to catch up in third party software sales.
