It makes sense for the UK to be the 360s second strongest region (unless you count America's Hat as number 2) because, to be honest, it culturally is most similiar to the USA. Language, heritage, ect.
Also, I think the Continent (especially France) has had issues w/ American Policy in the recent years, and that may lead indirectly to the 360 (being American) less desirable. Japan (w/ the exception of Korea, and possibly Chine) is not really divisive. No one for the most part is anti Japan (unless they are still butt hurt about Pearl Harbor)
End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)
Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases
360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak
PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut
