Its not even close... even in the examples you list it doesnt compare.

Are you forgeting about the dreamcast? Even then this has no comparable value.
Failure rate? Though the ps2's failure rate was suppose to be high I doubt it was anywhere near 360's. MS put a billion dollars aside for this problem.
Sony gained their exclusives because it wasn't really viable for any other plat form. MS funds the projects. Even then the amount of 3rd party exclusives are no where near comparable.
