Awhile back my sister said that one of the things she liked about Nintendo was that they didn’t "Start selling systems at insane prices in order to drop the price soon after" and that "From day 1 Nintendo sells products at a reasonable price" ...
While there are people who might disagree with that assessment, or might argue that she doesn’t understand what the technology is really worth, I think it is a fairly good representation of how the mass market sees Nintendo’s current price structure. I think Nintendo has some room to increase the price of their next systems (probably up to $300 for their home console and $179 for the 3DS) I think they should try to keep their next systems in the same price range; and possibly continue to include things like the packed in game.
