I don't like the burqa because it is an enforced infringement on women's rights. They are often forced to wear a burqa against their will by their husbands, family, community, spiritual leaders, etc.
However, if I make a law saying they can never wear a burqa, then how would I be any different to people who force those women to wear burqas?
I'm infringing on their freedom in the same way.
Don't ban the burqa, ban people from forcing others to wear the burqa. Make it a choice.
