UPDATE:
UPDATE:
Michael Troughton a former technical director at Midway (now at Ubisoft Reflections) has had his say on this ‘Wii2′ reference and has been nice enough to shed some light on it for us. He writes below;
“I was working with Darren on both ‘undisclosed’ projects before our studio was closed last July. One of them was announced – Necessary Force – but the Wii 2 reference is for a very short-lived prototype we put together in an attempt to secure a contract to save the studio. We never worked on Wii 2, and had no details on any future consoles from Nintendo, however the intention was to support that platform if it ever came to fruition in a suitable time-scale for the project.”
Thanks for this very intereresting insight Michael. I guess that clears things up. It’s reference to pre-development in anticipation of a Wii2 console.
