Trophies are a better because of platinum trophies which add something extra to the system. Though both systems do have one major flaw -- inconsistency. SONY and Microsoft NEED to tell developers to create trophies within a reasonable range of difficulty/time commitment. Games that hand over 1000achievement points / a platinum trophy are bad -- but games that ask consumers to spend excessive time, or get lucky are even worse. We need a middle ground -- more games with Trophies/Achievements. (id estimate a time frame of 30 - 80 hours for platinum/1000 achievement points being the sweet spot (30 hours for FPS to 80 hours for RPG's)
