SOCOM 1 - 3.44m

SOCOM 2 - 2.65m

SOCOM 3 - 1.55m

SOCOM navy seals PS3 - 0.99m

plus MAG has shown how hard this genre struggles with sales....

 

How does MAG show anything about Socom's genre or struggles? One is an online only FPS while the other is a full offline campaign + online TPS.

Socom Confrontation was also not made by Zipper and was online only. Socom 4 will be a full fledged title made by Zipper as well as be the first true installment of the series on the PS3.

 

There is also the chance that the newly created MAG fanbase, since I highly doubt all MAG players are part of the old Socom faithful, will probably flock over to Socom 4 along with the old Socom faithful.

Just saying, declining sales of a series that had 3 games on the previous console doesn't guarantee anything.
