Not sure but sounds like YLOD, its one of these ironic things it just so happened when you swiped the Harddrive, I don't know for sure, I have a original fat 40 gig, from 2007, that I have had no problems with, and it gets used 4-8 hours a day by me and my son, plays all my DVDs and Bluray movies.I have been thinking for some time now mine is going to die, because of all the hard core use, and I have been so close many times in replacing the harddrive to a larger one also, now I am trying to decide weather to just buy a new slim, or go ahead and replace the harddrive on my fat., if you can ounce you have found out what is going on, let me know.
