I consider it even a bit bland maybe, but it's also a matter of taste, I haven't said it's unoriginal but it's not very much...He has the peculiarity to often mix classical insturments with rock instruments but it's not the only one to have tried that sort of thing and usually I don't like the results.Also many tracks of final fantasy score sounds to me like a bit too routinely, they're not bad, they fit very well but in the meantime they dosen't leave something to me.....It's difficult to explain....for example if I listen to final fantasy tune I could not tell from wich one it's from. The only tune that I well remeber in this moment is the opening title theme of FFX wich is very good but by the way sounds to me a bit similar to Elton Jhon's "Carla Etude".
That said I didn't mean he's not a good composer, is one of the best in the videogame industry but it's just not one of my favorites.
