I'm only predicting US+Others first week number here

MH3 = 80K
Metroid = 300K
SMG= 1.4 million

MH3 - 100k

Metroid - 300k

SMG2 - 1.2M

(This is without looking at preorders or previous game sales)

You guys do know MH3 was already at 54k preorders since March 27 while increasing 8k+ per week right (though in Carl's case since you said you haven't looked at preorders, just consider this informative...not sure abou kingofwale). And that's without running TV ads yet. MH3 preorders had a little over 3 weeks from that point and that means at least another 24k and this is only assuming preorders remain the same which obviously won't be the case with ads. So that's basically 78k just assuming it does 8k per week. Multiply that by 1.5 (which, according to ioi, gives a similar number to the total first week sales...though Wii owners tend to preorder less) and you're looking at 117k first week and that's just NA only. Not counting Others or ads. It's guaranteed to sell over 100k.

OT: Don't feel like predicting anything yet. MH3 has a good shot at 150-200k though.

Thank you for your explanation, athough interesting enough, you didn't make a prediction yourself?

I stand by my prediction, Pre-order tracking isn't always accurate.

You're right - look at what happened with MAG.

It had more preorders than first week sales by a large margin (I think ~200k)
