that's only if you leave the external drive in the FAT file system. If you format it to NTFS, it should work fine

OT: While I agree the PS3's browser is pretty bad, it actually looks significantly better on my TV than my computer does even if I use my laptop's HDMI out port to hook it up. I don't personally mind watching youtube, etc on my laptop, so I rarely use the PS3's browser because it is mad slow. But, regardless of how slow it is, it is waaaay better than no browser at all. Period.
