3DS announcement “clashes” with DSi XL, says analyst

I don't think so at all. The majority of the potential audience for the DSi XL aren't even AWARE of a Nintendo 3DS coming out next year. Yes there was a quick blurb on CNN about it, but beyond that they don't know. Only us hardcore gamer types are going to know about this. 

That is true but it seems like Nintendo really went out of it's way to announce the new DS and let's not forget the hardcore gamers completely because they will be the first ones buying the DSi XL at this point in time.
