You should start with the Mass Effect series.....they really have the best story telling this gen has to offer.

And if you have any respect for yourself as a Hack n Slash genre fan then you must get Bayonetta(PS3 or 360 doesnt really matter but if you dont have it then you might as well get it for the 360).......it easily has the best gameplay in the whole genre.
