Gilgamesh... all I have to say is... take an economics class that deals with piracy. I don't think you understand how piracy works. Your formula to how you get 20-30 million in losses is kinda silly.

It's also meaningless. Removing features to stop piracy is wrong. No matter what system is doing it. If wii removed SD card functunality to stop piracy it would be wrong.

I think you don't understand the important's of Linux on the PS3 compared to SD cards. I would like to know how many people actually regularly use Linux on the PS3 (out of the lets say 30 million phat owners) I doubt it's more then 500K. First thing is it's not the easiest thing to install, and second it's incredibly slow because of the lack of RAM, almost unusable at some points. It's not like it's something really important, the OS is not really one of the main features of the PS3, it's more of an extra, something thrown in the package, that's the way I see it.

Well I guess they didn't really lose it, but they could of gained some more money. Sure they wouldn't have the same numbers of sales as they had pirated copies if the system was unhackable, but I'm sure they still would of had a reasonable amount of people buying the game if they knew they couldn't pirate it.

A PC is still the best. You have to admit that, any normal PC beats Linux on the PS3.
