And yeah, there is a problem with them preparing for Wii 2, and not really doing anything now, as they'll just be in the same boat with Wii 2 that they are now: they don't know what they should be doing and they won't have time to figure it out while Nntendo takes all the marbles, again...

That's just the thing, isn't it? Nintendo doesn't take all the marbles. They can't. EA's first priority here, in order to create a safety buffer, will probably be to bring their current audience over to the Wii's successor.

Who is their audience on Wii now, though? In terms of definite brand loyalty, i don't see much in there. They've had successes and failures, but nothing they can make stick. My guess is they'll start from scratch on Wii2 like virtually everyone else is going to have to.
