Sony has 2 consoles that sold over 100 million. They could've been neck to neck this genration of they released a Playstation 3 that was
$300 at launch. Now its too late for that. But you seen Japan. They are neck to neck thaere despite the higher sales in the past.
MS has yet been in first and be a huge threat in genral. They stole the PS audiunce really. Sony has a bigger name. Way bigger. They know
that they want to destroy them. They are the last wall between them and total domintion in the market like NES was in the console frount.
They plan to take away everything from them. That's why you see them taking former sony excuesives and makeing them nintnedo excluesive
ex: Monster hunter 3 and Dragon quest.

That's there plan. They may not seem to act like it. Though by how they acted this generation. Its pretty obvious
As for MS, We yet see them build a console that can dominate. But We'll see what they got next generation
