For them to be realistically used, they'd have to be disc based. Storage would be too much of a problem for most Wii owners, and if there isn't a big uptake there's no point in the company doing it.
The free Monster Hunter Tri demo at Gamestop is a good idea for bigger Wii games to follow in the future.
