I worked in a bookstore getting authors in. Sometimes we got a ton of people sometimes not. Sometimes authors were so small time they would just come in our store and pick up the 2 copies of their book and sign them.
They are doing the same thing as small bands selling tapes out of the back of their station wagon.
Many Wii fans have been pushing this as a major 3rd party title. It just isn't.

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.
Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.
Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.
