I think you're overexagurating the extent of the defecits (if there are any). If a company went bankrupt everytime they had a few games that only sold 100k, most companies making games for HD consoles would be bankrupt as well, especially in Japan. For every Modern Warfare 2 there is about 20 games that only end up selling like 100-200k and probably end up losing a ton of money for the companies.
