whats even more impressive is that FF12 launched in the holidays in 2006 yet FF13 had a better 2nd week (it may have had a larger % drop though).

You must remember that first FF game every gen tend to sell more than later FF games. I think better comparisor for XIII is X. I really don't see how XIII would sell more than X so series is still in slight decline (like it has been since VII). Still of course great sales and FF is still big series saleswise.

There's no data for FFX western sales.
