Sunday October 10th 2010 would be my guess for a North American launch because it seems well suited to a launch of a Nintendo product in North America ... It is in the holiday season, it is on a Sunday, and it has a cool date (although that is less important for Nintendo).
Nintendo has been moving more and more towards global launches, and I wouldn't expect that a worldwide launch would be more than a few weeks apart.
