I still say people are way over exaggerating the PS3 shortages. Judging from what ioi said and the fact that many online stores have PS3s available (at least the $400 models), it would seem to me that PS3's not not impossible to find by any means. Difficult maybe, but not impossible. Someone who wants a PS3 bad enough can get one online, though they may have to opt for the $400.
It's not like Wii where you litterally could not get one for a long time, unless you were willing to shell out $500 on ebay.
